In Memory OfSPC & Officer Anthony J. Ruggiero

SPC Anthony J. Ruggiero, 36, U.S. Army Reserve and Senior Police Officer, Nicholasville Police Department, born August 11, 1988, lost the battle within on February 9, 2025. Ruggiero led NPD's Collision Reconstruction Unit, trained new officers, taught D.A.R.E., and built the Neon Bike Ride and Exchange from scratch — a program that put bikes in kids' hands and is now renamed in his honor. He was called "one of the truest servants you've ever met." He leaves his wife, Christina, four children — Gunnar, Preston, Lilly, and Vivian — his father, and siblings. Rest easy. We have the watch. Til Valhalla, Brother.
