SPC & Ofc Phillip L. Soomro, 39, U.S. Army, St. Louis P.D. (SLPD), born in Illinois August 20, 1984 lost the battle within on February 8, 2024. Soomro was a Cable Systems Installer-Maintainer with 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team in Afghanistan. There, he maintained various systems to ensure his unit's communications were always functional. Soomro next joined the SLPD and became a K9 Handler. He was an outstanding Officer and became well-respected for all he achieved with his four-legged partner, Niko. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
