SPC Matthew R. Jobe, 24, U.S. Army, born in North Carolina March 19, 1999, lost
the battle with his demons on May 25, 2023. Jobe was a Joint Fire Support
Specialist with 82nd Airborne Division stationed at Fort Bragg. There, he trained to
gather intelligence and deliver artillery strikes against our enemies. Jobe then
earned a degree in criminal justice and had a brief career in law enforcement. He
then decided to pursue a career in medicine and began training to become a flight
nurse for medevac helicopters. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
