In Memory OfSPC Matthew P.D. Reed

SPC Matthew P. D. Reed, 31, U.S Army, born February 3, 1984, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2015. Reed served with 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. There, his unit was tasked with conducting counterinsurgency missions to disrupt enemy supply lines and secure contested areas. Reed enjoyed football, watching UNC Tarheels sports, and spending time with his loved ones. He is remembered as a big-hearted man with a great sense of humor who wore his heart on his sleeve. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
