In Memory OfSPC Dustin J. Harris

SPC Dustin J. Harris, 21, U.S. Army, born May 11, 1984, was killed in action on April 6, 2006. Harris served as a Motor Transport Operator with 172nd Brigade Support Battalion, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, and deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom. While on a combat logistics mission with the 101st Airborne Division, Harris volunteered to act as the lead gunner. As they patrolled through Bayji, Harris passed away when an IED detonated as he passed by. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
