SPC Christopher S. Wright, 23, U.S. Army, born in Kentucky January 31, 1987, passed away from combat-related injuries on August 19, 2010. Wright was an Infantryman with 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, and deployed for Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. While on a mission to capture a high-value target in Pech, he was wounded by small arms fire and shrapnel. Wright played a critical role in the mission's success but passed away shortly after. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
