SPC Aaron L. Preston, 29, U.S. Army, born February 11, 1977, was killed in action on December 25, 2006. Preston served as a Combat Engineer with 9th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division in Iraq. While conducting a route-clearing mission to make safe passage for our U.S. ground forces in Baghdad, his mine-resistant vehicle was struck by four Iranian EFPs simultaneously. Preston and two of his brothers-in-arms lost their lives in the attack. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
