SP5 & Fire Chief Glenn E. Bowers Sr., 70, U.S. Army, Union Fire Company No. 2 (UFCN2), born July 13, 1948, passed away on March 25, 2019. Bowers proudly served in the Army for three years and fought in Vietnam. After the war, he returned home and joined the UFCN2. For over 50 years, he protected the people of Ballston Springs and rose to the rank of Chief. Bowers was a selfless man who believed in public service and the importance of community. For his service, he earned the N.Y. State Senate Liberty Medal. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
