In Memory OfSP4 Jerry L. Hill

August 14, 1947 - November 6, 1967

SP4 Jerry L. Hill, 20, U.S. Army, born August 14, 1947, was killed in action on November 6, 1967. Hill was a Combat Medic with 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment in Vietnam. During the Battle of Dak To, his unit was sent to block enemy advances in Kon Tum Province. While on patrol in the Highlands, they were attacked by NVA troops. With no regard for his own safety, Hill left cover and rendered aid to his wounded squadmates until he was shot by a sniper. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star with "V" device. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
