October 11, 1946 - May 19, 1966

SP4 Harry E. Crissey Jr., 19, U.S. Army, born October 11, 1946, was killed in action
on May 19, 1966. Crissey was an Infantryman with 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry
Regiment, in Vietnam. On May 18th, he was flown in to assist two units ambushed
during a search-and-destroy mission. They immediately came under fire and couldn't
move until daybreak. While linking up with the other units, Crissey fell on the
battlefield when a hidden VC bunker opened fire on his men. For his service, he
earned the Purple Heart. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
