In Memory OfSP4 Sidney F. Smith III

SP4 Sidney F. Smith III, 76, U.S. Army, born in Pennsylvania February 29, 1944, passed away on March 12, 2020. Smith was a Light Weapons Infantryman with 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam. He was part of a Long-Range Reconnaissance Patrol team and went behind enemy lines to hunt down Viet Cong forces. Smith then earned a bachelor's degree and taught "Physics of Light" to elementary school students. He was a loving husband, a great father, and the favorite "Papa." For his service, he earned the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
