In Memory OfSMSgt & FF Michael L. Baker

SMSgt & FF Michael L. Baker, 52, U.S. Air Force, Carbondale F.D., born in Ohio July
5, 1969, passed away from COVID-19 on September 21, 2021. Baker served as a
Fire Protection Specialist and deployed to the Middle East for Operation Iraqi
Freedom and to Haiti to aid after the 2010 earthquake. He then served with the Air
National Guard as part of the 190th Air Refueling Wing. In addition to his military
duties, Baker served his community as a volunteer firefighter for 28 years with the
Carbondale F.D. Fly high, Airman! Til Valhalla, Brother!
