SK2 David D. Przybyl, 78, U.S. Navy, born December 7, 1935, passed away on January 9, 2014. Przybyl served as a Storekeeper aboard the USS Tortuga (LSD-26) after the Korean War. While at sea, he was tasked with ensuring the vessel had fresh provisions and that the engine room was never short on spare parts. Przybyl was a man of faith who helped others as a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his philanthropy, he was an Auxiliary Officer with his local police department. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Brother!
