In Memory OfSGT William P. Rudd

November 5, 1980 - October 5, 2008

SGT William P. Rudd, 27, U.S. Army, born November 5, 1980, was killed in action on October 5, 2008. Rudd served as an Infantryman with 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times. On his eight tour, his unit conducted a raid in Mosul to take out Abu Qaswarah, the #2 leader of al-Qaeda. Rudd was mortally wounded in the assault, but his actions weakened enemy defenses and led to the successful elimination of the target. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
