SGT William A. Harrington, 92, U.S. Marine Corps, born June 8, 1932, in Ceres, California, passed away from health complications on August 12, 2024. He answered the call to serve in the Korean War, enlisting straight out of high school and training as a Radio Operator. This critical role kept the chain of command connected across challenging terrain and enemy fire, a responsibility he embraced. Harrington genuinely loved his time as a radio operator and the places he saw while serving, finding meaning and even joy in a difficult war. He was an incredible role model whose influence shaped not just the people who loved him but the choices they made. He rests at Ceres Cemetery in California. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
