In Memory OfSGT Virgil J. Jones

SGT Virgil J. Jones, 75, U.S. Army, born March 24, 1949, passed away from cancer on March 19, 2025. Jones served as an 11B Light Weapons Infantryman with the 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, and spent a year in Vietnam, June 1969 to June 1970. He earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Air Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal with "V" Device for valor in combat. Jones loved boating, fishing, and mud races, but most of all a big cookout with his family. He is survived by his wife, Patsy, and their four children. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
