In Memory OfSGT Vernon L. Humberd

SGT Vernon L. Humberd, 96, U.S. Army, born October 15, 1927, passed away on June 28, 2024. Humberd was a Motor Pool Supervisor for the 64th Field Hospital on Koje-do in the Korean War. While deployed, he coordinated vehicle maintenance, fueling, and driver assignments to support the seemingly endless medical evacuations and supply runs. Humberd enjoyed singing, working on old cars, and watching a good WWE wrestling match. He was a handyman with a green thumb who never hesitated to lend a hand to someone in need. Rest easy, Soldier!
