In Memory OfSGT Thomas F. Feeney

March 12, 1896 - March 14, 1980

SGT Thomas F. Feeney, 84, U.S. Army, born March 12, 1896, passed away on March 14, 1980. In WWI, Feeney served with Company C, 60th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division. During the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, his unit was sent to break through the German lines in Cunel. Charging through No Man's Land, his commander was killed, and Feeney took charge. Braving heavy fire with bayonets fixed, they took out key defensive positions, driving the Germans back without losing another man. For his service, he earned the Silver Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
