Sgt Stanley S. Robinson, 29, U.S.M.C., born September 22, 1929, lost the battle within on December 5, 1958. Robinson was a Fire Team Leader with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment in the Korean War. While assaulting a position in the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir, most of his men were killed by enemy fire. He quickly left cover and charged over 100 PVA troops. Robinson inflicted so much damage that the Chinese withdrew, allowing him to secure Hill 1240 single-handedly. For his service, he earned the Silver Star and the Navy Cross. Semper Fi, Marine!
