SGT Serafino J. Picatagi, 77, U.S. Army, born in New Jersey on July 23, 1927, passed away on March 28, 2005. During the post-war occupation of the Pacific, Picatagi worked in Army finance, ensuring our soldiers were paid on time. He also started a stress-relief program in which Japanese POWs and U.S. troops played friendly games of baseball. An entrepreneurial man, Picatagi started up several businesses to support his family. He enjoyed singing, attending his kids' soccer games, and picnicking with loved ones. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
