SGT Patrick K. Durham, 24, U.S. Army, born October 20, 1985, was killed in action on August 28, 2010. Durham served as a Cannon Crewmember with 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division and deployed for Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. While conducting a patrol in Babur, enemy insurgents detonated an IED as his unit was passing by. Durham and one of his brothers-in-arms perished in the blast. For his service, he was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
