SGT Oliver F. Williams, 83, U.S. Army, born November 11, 1933, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, passed away from health complications on June 9, 2017. Oliver began his military career as a tanker, later reenlisting for the Vietnam War to serve as a team leader with the elite 82nd Airborne Rangers. He earned a Bronze Star for heroism and a Purple Heart for combat wounds. After his service, Oliver found peace in civilian life, enjoying walks on the beach, gardening, and casino visits. He was known for his quiet strength, sharp wit, and kind heart, dedicating himself to helping other veterans with disability claims.
