In Memory OfSGT Nathan R. Beyers

SGT Nathan R. Beyers, 24, Idaho Army National Guard, born in Colorado April 17, 1987, was killed in action on July 7, 2011. Beyers served as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic with 145th Brigade Support Battalion, 116th Cavalry Heavy Brigade Combat Team in Iraq. While providing convoy security to transport personnel and supplies to the Green Zone in Baghdad, his vehicle was struck by an IED. Beyers and one of his brothers-in-arms were mortally wounded in the blast. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
