In Memory OfSGT Michael P. Koszyk

SGT Michael P. Koszyk, 78, U.S. Army, born September 4, 1919, passed away from cancer on August 21, 1998. Koszyk served as a Sergeant in the 45th Infantry Division, known as the Thunderbirds. He deployed to North Africa, participated in the assault on Sicily, and fought through the Italian peninsula, including Salerno, Volturno, and Anzio. Koszyk was a skilled woodworker and created intricate stained glass art; he also played harmonica in a club. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
