SGT Michael K. Ingram Jr., 23, U.S. Army, born in Michigan March 6, 1987, was
killed in action on April 17, 2010. Ingram served as an Infantryman with 1st
Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division
and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While
conducting a dismounted patrol in Kandahar, he passed away when an IED
detonated as he walked past. For his service, he was posthumously awarded a
Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and promoted to Sergeant. Rest easy, Hero! Til
