March 4, 1969 - September 19, 2005

SGT Michael Egan, 36, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, born March 4, 1969, was killed in action on September 19, 2005. Egan was an M1 Armor Crewman with 1st Squadron, 104th Cavalry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division, and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While conducting a mounted patrol in Ramadi with a unit from 2nd Marine Division, an IED detonated as his Humvee drove past. Egan and three of his brothers-in-arms perished in the blast. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
