In Memory OfSGT Matthew J. Parry

SGT Matthew J. Parry, 35, U.S. Army, born February 4, 1989, lost the battle within on May 10, 2024. Parry was a Combat Engineer with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division in Iraq and Afghanistan. While in the Middle East, he helped maintain secure passages for U.S. ground troops by conducting route-clearing missions and repairing the crumbling infrastructure. Parry enjoyed live music, playing rugby, and was a gifted woodworker. He is remembered for his charisma, open-mindedness, and a never-ending collection of friends. Rest easy, Soldier!
