SGT & Lieutenant Felix A. Vaclavik, 87, U.S. Army, Utah Department of Corrections, born in Texas January 14, 1927, passed away on August 8, 2014. Vaclavik began his service aboard the USS New Jersey (BB-62) in the Pacific Theater of WWII. He then enlisted in the Army as an MP during the Korean War, assigned to MP Company 8456th. After the military, Vaclavik began a career with the Utah D.O.C., where he dedicated himself to protecting the public from some of the country's most dangerous criminals.
