Sgt Lewis S. Powell, 74, U.S. Marine Corps, born December 27, 1932, passed away from cancer on January 9, 2007. He honorably served in the Korean War as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps. Sgt Powell was a devoted family man, coaching little league, preaching at his church, and always helping his neighbors. His legacy of service extended beyond the battlefield into his community, where he was a friend to all. Sgt Powell’ s unwavering commitment to his family and community exemplified true heroism.
