Sgt Kevin B. Balduf, 27, U.S.M.C., born July 14, 1983, was killed in action on May
12, 2011. Balduf was a Field Radio Operator with 8th Communications Battalion
and deployed to the Middle East three times for Operations Iraqi Freedom and
Enduring Freedom. While teaching members of the Afghan National Police the
skills to maintain order after the war, a man he was training opened fire during
lunch, killing him and a fellow Marine. For his service, Balduf earned a Purple Heart
and the Bronze Star with ""V"" device. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
