In Memory OfSgt Kenneth Conde Jr.

Sgt Kenneth Conde Jr., 23, U.S.M.C., born June 23, 1981, was killed in action on July 1, 2004. Conde was a Machine Gunner with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment in Iraq. While on combat patrol in Ramadi, his unit was ambushed, and he was shot in the shoulder. Refusing medical aid, Conde fought alongside his men for two days until his arm became too numb to raise his rifle. Three months later, he passed away when a roadside bomb struck his Humvee. For his service, Conde earned two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star with "V" device. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
