SGT Jesse R. Tilton, 23, U.S. Army, born December 14, 1986, passed away from combat-related injuries on July 16, 2010. Tilton was a Combat Medic with 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan. While stationed at a Police HQ in Kandahar, a group of suicide bombers attacked the base. As Tilton was aiding a fellow soldier, he was mortally wounded when another Insurgent detonated an explosive vest right next to him. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
