Sgt Jearl D. Liford Jr., 73, U.S. Marine Corps, born July 25, 1932, passed away from health complications on September 2, 2005. Known to all as Jerry, he was a true Christian and a devoted family man, a leader with a great sense of humor and a gift for Irish storytelling. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on May 5, 1952, serving as a Sergeant through the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1955. Jerry earned the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Republic of Korea War Service Medal. He was a kind-hearted and intelligent man. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
