In Memory OfSGT George W. Porter

SGT George W. Porter, 92, U.S. Army Air Corps, born December 12, 1914, passed away on December 7, 2007. Porter served as an Airplane Armorer with 6th Airdrome Squadron in WWII. Throughout the European Campaign, he helped maintain aircraft weapons systems, ensuring our fighters and bombers were always loaded with the right munitions for their next mission. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and swapping war stories at the VFW, DAV, and American Legion. Porter is remembered as an outgoing country boy with a big heart. Fly high, Airman! Til Valhalla, Brother!
