Sgt Earl F. Johnson, 57, U.S.M.C., born in Wisconsin February 6, 1925, passed away from cancer on July 3, 1982. During WWII, Johnson was a Synthetic Devices Mechanic and Light Truck Driver at Cherry Point with 9th Marine Aircraft Wing, Fleet Marine Force. There, he ensured that our aircrafts were well-maintained for the pilots-in-training before they deployed to the Pacific. Johnson was a man who took great pride in his work. He is remembered for his sense of humor and his true love for his family and friends. Semper Fi, Marine! Til Valhalla, Brother!
