SGT Ashly L. Moyer, 21, U.S. Army, born April 25, 1985, was killed in action on March 3, 2007. After a tour in Cuba as an MP with 367th MP Company to provide security and supervise detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Moyer deployed with 630th MP Company in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While on a high-risk mounted patrol through the streets of Baghdad, an IED was remotely detonated as her Humvee passed by. Moyer and two of her fellow Soldiers passed away in the blast. For her service, she earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Sister!
