In Memory OfSFC William R. Rainey

SFC William R. Rainey, 56, U.S. Army, born in Virginia August 24, 1966, passed away from service-related injuries on September 21, 2022. Rainey was a Combat Medic in the Green Berets, assigned to 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He traveled the world teaching our servicemembers and the Afghan National Army the skills to save the lives of their brothers and sisters-in-arms. For this, Rainey earned the Bronze Star. He also earned the Silver Star, which he refused, saying, "There shouldn't be a medal awarded for something you are expected to do." Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
