SFC Wendell A. McKenzie Jr., 39, U.S. Army, born in Michigan April 8, 1984, passed away from health complications on January 3, 2024. McKenzie served as an HR Manager and was stationed at Fort Hood. There, he supervised various administrative duties and career development programs for our troops. McKenzie enjoyed working out, was an avid reader, and had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Above all, he was a family man and returned to Detroit to spend time with his loved ones whenever he got the chance. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
