January 27, 1984 - November 4, 2017

SFC Stephen Cribben, 33, U.S. Army, born January 27, 1984, was killed in action on November 4, 2017. Cribben was a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant with 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group, and deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Freedom's Sentinel. While on a counterinsurgency mission in Logar Province, his unit was ambushed by Taliban forces. During the brutal firefight, Cribben fell on the battlefield after being struck by enemy small arms fire. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
