In Memory OfSFC Kendall C. Turner

SFC Kendall C. Turner, 77, U.S. Army, born October 23, 1928, passed away on September 14, 2006. After serving in the Korean War, Turner was sent overseas once again to fight in Vietnam as an Infantryman with 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). During his time there, he was a door gunner, providing cover fire for ground units in nearly 30 engagements, most notably the Battle of Ia Drang. Turner is remembered as a fearless Soldier who was always ready to risk life and limb to protect his men. For his service, he earned the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
