In Memory OfSergeant Jon J. Wacha

Sergeant Jon J. Wacha, 47, Lake Mills Police Department, born August 6, 1973, lost the battle within on June 29, 2021. He served Iowa law enforcement for some 25 years, beginning in 1994 with the Capitol Police and the Storm Lake department before Lake Mills. Being a police officer was who he was; he loved investigating and solving crimes and was known fondly as "Wacha-gotcha." He never met a stranger and loved deer hunting, farming, his truck "Precious," and NASCAR. Most of all, he loved his son, Ryan. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til Valhalla, Brother!
