In Memory OfSC3c Franklin T. Crawford

August 19, 1918 - April 2, 1990

SC3c Franklin T. Crawford, 71, U.S. Navy, born August 19, 1918, passed away on April 2, 1990. Crawford was a Ship's Cook on the USS Tolland (AKA-64) in the Pacific Theater of WWII. While at sea, he prepared meals, managed food supplies, and maintained kitchen sanitation to ensure our men were well-fed and healthy. After the war, he remained in the Pacific at Commander, Philippine Sea, treating battle-hardened troops to the finest cuisine our military had to offer for the remainder of his Naval career. Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate! Til Valhalla, Brother!
