In Memory OfS. Sgt Paul W. Morgan

April 18, 1899 - February 4, 1969

S. Sgt. Paul W. Morgan, 69, U.S. Army, born April 18, 1899, passed away February 4, 1969. Morgan was an Infantryman with 1st Battalion, 9th U.S. Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division on the Western Front of WWI. His unit fought in some of the war’s most critical campaigns, including the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, where he was nearly killed when he was exposed to enemy mustard gas. After months of relentless combat, Morgan was diagnosed with Shell Shock, the invisible wounds of which changed his life forever. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
