In Memory OfPVT Wendell W. Moriarty

PVT Wendell W. Moriarty, 69, U.S. Army, born September 6, 1922, passed away from surgical complications on April 6, 1992. In WWII, Moriarty was with 180th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division. During the Anzio Landings, he helped secure the beachhead, allowing U.S. forces to advance and ultimately drive the Germans out of Italy. Moriarty was a kind family man of faith and volunteered with organizations to assist fellow veterans who fought to protect our country. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
