Police Chief James T. Rogers, 59, Palm Bay Police Department, born in Wisconsin
September 13, 1962, lost the battle within on March 13, 2022. Rogers began his
33-year career in law enforcement as a Deputy with Wood County Sheriff’s Office
before joining the Palm Bay P.D. In addition to serving in Patrol, Criminal
Investigations, and Youth Services, he was also the Commander of the SWAT
Team. Through tireless dedication, Rogers climbed the ranks and became Chief of
the department until retiring in 2019. Rest easy; We have the watch now! Til
