PO2 Donald R. Ward, 89, U.S. Navy, born in West Virginia December 26, 1926, passed away on May 6, 2016. Ward served as a Quartermaster, performing helmsman, ship control, and navigation duties in WWII and the Korean War. After the war, he entered the world of finance and rose from a lowly bank teller to regional director of economic development for the Department of Commerce.
