In Memory OfPFC Wesley R. Riggs

PFC Wesley R. Riggs, 19, U.S. Army, born in Texas August 16, 1985, passed away from combat-related injuries on May 17, 2005. Riggs served as an M1 Armor Crewman with 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3d Infantry Division and deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While conducting a combat operation in Tikrit, a roadside bomb was detonated next to his defensive position. Riggs succumbed to his injuries shortly after. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
