PFC Patrick J. Tremblay, 18, U.S. Army, born June 19, 1949, was killed in action on March 17, 1968. Tremblay was an Infantryman with 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam. While on a mission in Bình Định, his unit was attacked. During the battle, he provided cover for his men. After saving a wounded soldier, Tremblay moved to an exposed position, continuing to protect his company until he was hit by enemy fire. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star with "V" device. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
