PFC Leslie J. Frolich, 19, U.S. Army, born in February 24, 1948, was killed in action on February 12, 1968. Frolich was an Infantryman with 5th Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment in Vietnam. During the Battle of Huế, his unit was sent on a search-and- destroy mission to drive hostile forces out of Thừa Thiên. While assaulting a fortified position, they encountered heavy NVA resistance, and he was killed by a sniper. Though Frolich didn't survive, his actions helped pave the way to victory. For his service, he earned a Purple Heart. Rest easy, Hero! Til Valhalla, Brother!
