PFC Donald L. Jobes, 70, U.S. Army, born April 8, 1895, passed away on October 16, 1965. Jobes served with 1st Pioneer Infantry Regiment in WWI. While in France, he built trenches, salvaged equipment, laid barbed wire, and provided combat support on the front lines of the war's fiercest battles. Jobes was a man who always looked to help others and volunteered with the VFW, the Harold Daly Post, and the Unexcelled Fire Company. He is remembered as a hard-working family man with an immense spirit of patriotism. Rest easy, Soldier! Til Valhalla, Brother!
